Why We Exist

There's a gap between who blue collar workers actually are and how the apparel industry sees them. Most brands either ignore guys like us completely or reduce us to a cliché — suspenders, hard hats, "handyman" jokes that miss the point entirely. We started Rough Hands Apparel because the guy who fixes pipes all week and drops a line in the water every Saturday is living one of the most honest lives there is. That deserves a brand that says so out loud — with pride, and with a sense of humor.

Built By One Of You

Rough Hands Apparel isn't run by a marketing team that focus-grouped "blue collar aesthetic." It's built by a plumber and mechanic who spends his weekends on the water same as you. Every design starts with something real — a real job, a real Friday at 5, a real feeling of finally getting to exhale. If we wouldn't wear it ourselves, it doesn't get made.

The Work Is The Foundation

Blue collar isn't a stepping stone to something better. It's a life built with your hands, one job at a time — showing up, figuring it out, moving on to the next one. That's not something to apologize for. It's something to wear.

The Water Is The Reward

The weekend hits different when you've earned it. Salt or fresh, ocean or lake, doesn't matter — the water is where the work week finally lets go of you. We're not picking a coast or a trade. If you clock out and head for the water, this is your brand.

Humor Is Honest

We're not here to explain the joke — if you get it, you get it. Sarcasm isn't cynicism, it's confidence in a t-shirt. When one of our designs makes you laugh because you've lived it, that's the whole thing working exactly right.

No influencers. No models. No pretending to be something we're not. Just gear built by the wrench, driven by the water, and worn by the people who earned both.
